IACC was inaugurated on October 23, 1968 by the US Ambassador to India, Mr. Chester Bowles. Today, it is a leading Indo-US bilateral Chamber in the country, with over 3000 members, 4 regional offices and 9 branch offices. Within the main organization are specialist committees and special interest groups to cater to the different needs of its members.
Members are drawn from all walks of life, including India's major corporate houses, and over 200 Indo-US joint venture companies.
